Six Planes II, hand-built from found wood, ply offcuts, and ceramics, transforms a psychedelic vision (six rings radiating upward from a tree trunk) into a stylised sculptural form.

The inclusion of wings evokes the angelic archetype, traditionally understood as a bridge between the human and divine realms, whilst the original gold-hued vision is rendered in a saturated yellow. Recurrent motifs (tulips, waterbirds, shapes, moths, and mushrooms) draw from a visual system, operating as symbols within a shifting field of interpretation rather than illustrating a fixed narrative.

By combining playful, highly saturated aesthetics with symbolic structure, the work tests the boundary between aesthetic immediacy and conceptual depth, inviting viewers to go beyond what is immediately visible.
